Homemade Peanutbutter

To make peanut butter at home all you need is: 16 ounces of dry roasted peanuts (more or less depending on how much you want to make at once) a pinch or two of salt and a food processor.
Place all the peanuts in your food processor and blend for 8-10 minutes. Every 2-3 minutes you may need to stop the processor and use a spoon to break up the peanuts/scrap down the sides of the bowl. At first the mixture will get crumbly/powder-y... just keep on processing because it will turn creamy! Depending on the freshness of your peanuts you may need to add a teaspoon or two of oil (canola, vegetable or peanut oil work well) but it usually is not necessary. Once your peanut butter is creamy, taste it and add a bit of salt if you like. Store in an air tight container in your refrigerator for up to a month. If you've ever bought natural peanut butter before you've probably noticed that sometimes a little oil seperation occurs-that's normal, just stir your peanut butter before use if you notice this happens.

Beautiful, Simple Paintings

This might be a scary topic for some who do not think they can paint, but honestly it's not that hard. Just start with a blank canvas, of if you would like do the same process: "How to make new things look old" to a piece of smooth wood. There is a plethora of pictures on the internet that you can gain inspiration from. My current obsession is poppies, which are also my favorite flower. Flowers and fruit are relatively easy, but always practice on paper or st least sketch out your idea. you can pick a phrase or quote you like that is'nt to long and copy it down also. This is a quick and simple way to add a homemade touch and a pop of color to any room of your house.

How to Paint Something to Make It Look Old

Supplies: An object to paint, Bar soap, such as Dove, 2 to 5 colors of paint, and sand paper.

So, First take you item and paint it with a base coat, probably your darkest color.
Let it dry completely, and then rub the soap on areas you would like to be exposed.
Then, paint on another layer of paint.
After letting it dry completely, lightly sand the whole area; the paint on the parts with soap with easily sand off.
If you would like to make it look more aged, repeat the last 3 steps as many times as you would like.
